I’m still bathing in the glory of our beach vacation over here. We are now home and settling nicely into our new summer routine, but I’m missing the sound of rolling waves and the smell of salt air mixed with sunscreen that woke me every morning. *sigh*
I’m pretty sure I took at least nine-million gazillion pictures of our vacation, and half of them are on my phone. I try really hard not to get too OCD with taking phone pictures, but when my mom asked if it was necessary for me to take a picture of everything, I realized I wasn’t keeping the OCD in check too well. What can you do? Have iPhone, will photo.
~Reading a novel for pleasure has been a rarity in my life since I returned to school a few years ago, so having the chance to read through the highly recommended The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks from beginning to end was huge. HUGE, people.
~Evening walks for ice cream and Italian Ice are kind of mandatory here. Why is it that I can barely get this kid to eat anything all day, but she’ll scarf down a double scoop cone in two-seconds flat?
~From the very beginning my husband has always accommodated my penchant for goofy photos. He has kindly asked that I only embarrass myself on this blog and not him, so I’m kind of sneaking this moderately goofy half picture of us in here. Take note single ladies; if a guy lets you be goofy, encourages your goofy, and even gets goofy with you, he might be keeper.
~Anthropologie has not opened in Louisville yet, so I may or may not have ran through this store squealing and petting merchandise while I let my kid entertain herself by spraying copious amounts of expensive perfume quietly in a corner. I mean, it was the tester bottles, but I am truly sorry for the employees who had to breathe that pungent air for the rest of the day.
These are only a small few of my simple vacation moments, and I’m linking them up over at Life Rearranged. I hope your week is full of simple moments, as well.
