Hello! I’m Julee Lair,
founder of D.I.Y. Louisville! What
originally started as a stitch-n-bitch for friends to meet and craft at a local
coffee shop, D.I.Y. Louisville has grown into something much, much
greater. Our group has grown to include
over 20 local artists, crafters, and DIY’ers , and we outgrew that coffee shop
long ago. We now meet monthly at an
artist workshop space where we have room to spread out and get as messy as we
need to get working on various projects.
I use this blog to share my own DIY lifestyle with crafts,
DIYs, recipes, handmade fashion and more.
I also share amazing projects from our group members, and fun things
happening around this awesome little city of ours.
You’ll occasionally find me making guest appearances on WDRB in the Morning, where I show how to make easy, affordable crafts. I’m honored to have been featured locally in
Today’s Woman Magazine, The Belle of Beechmont, and with guest appearances at
The Kentucky State Fair and on Great Day Live.
I’m a Health Educator by day, an ovo-lacto vegetarian for 19 years, a natural born tree hugger, and have been belting out random song lyrics
at inopportune times long before Jess Day made it cool. My Instagram shows a behind-the-scenes more
personal side of me if you’re interested in following me there. If you want to know what the D.I.Y.
Louisville group is up to next and where you can join us, check out that
information page here.
Thanks for stopping by!
