Summer’s greatest allure is that she fools us into thinking that the long lazy days will never end, and yet here we are prepping ourselves for the end of the season. Our kids go back to school in one week, and just like every year, we’re pondering where all the time went. How does it fly? I’ve yet to be able to solve that mystery.
Kim’s summer bucket list included an outing for our families and some dear friends that we don’t get to see often enough. We were finally able to make that happen at Bernheim Forest and enjoyed the day picnicking, hiking, and watching our kids marvel at Mother Nature’s beauty until their fingernails were caked with dirt. The epitome of a perfect summer outing.
Are you ready for summer to come to an end? Are your kids back to school yet? Summer’s end is always bittersweet for me and I find myself wishing for just a few more extra weeks before we settle into our fall routine.
