What We Wore

blue1

Knowing that sweat will be dripping down your spine exactly .0001 seconds after you walk out the front door kind of takes the fun out of picking outfits.  Getting dressed these days consists of simple dresses.  No frills.  No added thrills.  Even one extra piece of jewelry seems hot and dreadful.

This dress was perfectly cool with the humid air we’ve had.  It had already endured an entire work day by the time these photos were taken, hence the wrinkles.  For the office, I pulled on a very light-weight white cardi.  Collapsing with heatstroke isn’t on my agenda this week, so you'll just have to picture that variation in your mind.

P.S. – The first person who can tell me what’s missing from my outfit today, will win a prize!  Hmmm, what can it be??

  1. Thinking back about what you wear...how you dress...two things are coming to mind; a little cardi and/or bracelet?

  4. Ooh ooh, I know the answer-- it's your elastic hair band! And I totally know what you mean about it being too hot for jewelry! I don't even like wearing earrings when it's this humid.

  7. I love that dress, the colour is so pretty on you. My husband refuses to visit his father in the summer so I have never had the pleasure of feeling your heat and humidity. We always come in October when it's more tolerable.

  8. I love the dress! And I know exactly what you mean about getting dressed in the heat - we've had over 100 degree temperatures for about three weeks now in Oklahoma :(
